The initial house was completely dilapidated and unsanitary. The building featured a double-pitch flat mechanical tile roof and a sub-tile roof on the easternmost storeroom. The neighbors described the house as a shanty. The interior was completely empty.
The facade is in white roughcast plaster, the window frames and shutters in white wood. The roofs have a 40 cm overhang. The air conditioning units on the facades and the rainwater downpipes will be removed.
This project consisted of the complete renovation of a dilapidated house. The works included opening up the facade, repairing the roofs, and creating a swimming pool.
Subsequently, we created a summer kitchen and a cozy outdoor dining area sheltered by a pergola, while ensuring harmonious integration. We also installed a privacy screen and replaced the wire mesh fence on the street side.
The completion of these renovation works has transformed the house in order to harmonize its aesthetics with the architectural environment of Cagnes-sur-Mer, characterized by an authentic Provençal style. The deliberate choices were carefully orchestrated to ensure perfect integration into the surrounding landscape.
The renovated house now fits into the local Provençal aesthetic, aligning with neighboring residences. These adjustments made it possible to address
the neighbors' concerns regarding the visual appearance of the house while respecting the architectural character specific to the region. The regularization permit seeks to
officialize these transformations, thereby creating a house that blends naturally into the architectural heritage of Cagnes-sur-Mer.
